Hello, My family and I are expats working in Siliguri, India and we would like to plan a trip to Bhutan to spend time at the Wind Horse Ranch. We are thinking of the end of June or anytime in July. We realize this is rainy season but this is when we have a break in our schedule. We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 12 yr old son, 8 yr old daughter, 4 yr old daughter). We have our own vehicle. We understand you are recognized by the government as an official tour operator so we assume that you can help us with all the details of booking our stay and getting our visas, etc. We are thinking of a weekend getaway (perhaps 3-4 days at the most). We are super excited to experience Bhutan with your tour company and we look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you! Carrie

I am interested in a seven-day cultural/horseback tour, with costs to Padselling monastery, temples, dzongs and the Bumthang weavers. I am an experienced horseback rider (30+ years English style and dressage); I’m fine with some hiking but not interested in strenuous trekking. Approximate dates are February 22-28 and I’d be flying to Bhutan from Delhi.

I’m a US citizen and have traveled extensively throughout India.

    Thanks for sending information/costs.

    Sincerely, Sharon Voros

    Hello,
I am writing in regards to my search for employment in the field of horse trekking holidays. I am a university student in Edinburgh, originally from Canada, with plenty of experience in the tourism industry as well as with horses. If there are any opportunities available in any locations, I would be keen to provide you with more information. I appreciate the consideration as well as any further contacts.
I hope to hear from you soon,
    Ash

    Hi
I would like to arrange for a one hour riding lesson for my 12 yr old daughter during our visit to Bumthang next week. Would this be possible? Also, what is the best number to call as I called your Thimphu number and the message said it was not valid.

  11. Sophie Watson says:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am emailing to inquire about going on a horse trek in Bhutan around the 21st – 27th April – I have just seen your website and am very keen to go!

I am a final year medical student who will be in Bhutan on a medical elective (based at the main hospital in Thimpu) from the 27th March for 4 weeks and I would love to go on a trek the week after we finish. As such, I will already be in Bhutan and I have my Bhutanese visa, fees, Thimpu accommodation and flights sorted (although the return trip is flexible) so I am really just looking for someone who knows the local area and would maybe have a 3-5 day trip I could do around that time.

Aside from medicine, my background is that I have ridden and had horses for 15 years and I currently have a little native pony in England. I am aware that once I start my job as a doctor in August I will no longer have much time for horses and I would love to indulge my horse-love as much as possible as well as exploring an area I am really interested in!

Please let me know what you think and if you would be able to help me out with my trip!

    Many thanks,
    Sophie Watson
