It is around 34KM from Jakar or Bathpalathang (Bumthang) airport (BUT airport). From Chamkhar – Jakar town, take a road towards Mongar for about 10.5KMs. Then follow the diversion road that climbs north past the trail to Membartsho and the Pema Shedrup Choeki Gatsheling Shedra, a large nunnery, to reach the jumping-off point for the hike to Kunzangdrak. The road climbs high above the river, crossing the bridge at Pangshing and then passing picturesque Gemtshong village and temple and makes a descent to arrive at Mesithang school with several shops, a Dispensary and animal Husbandry, Forest Office etc. From here it around 1km further to the Tang Rimochen Lhakhang temple. The road becomes rougher as it approaches the bridge at Kizum and continues for few kilometers further to Gamling and Wobtang.
