Tang Valley Ranch – Bumthang

Wind Horse Ranch Tang -Where It All Began

Established in 2012, our original ranch is set on over 10 lush acres in the serene Tang Valley, about 30 km (1.5 hours) from Jakar town or Bumthang Airport. The journey to the ranch takes you along a scenic farm road, passing cultural and spiritual landmarks like Membartsho (Burning Lake), Pema Shedrup Nunnery, and Tang Rimochen Temple.

The ranch is surrounded by the Wobthang community dairy and sheep farm on one side and untouched wilderness on the other. Our large outdoor arena features a viewing booth for guests to relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain views while riders train or perform.

Over the years, we’ve cleared trails, nurtured horses, and created a warm, welcoming environment for riders of all experience levels. Our mission is simple: to diversify Bhutan’s tourism offerings, support the local rural economy, and promote responsible, sustainable travel.
